“The First Buds of Spring” Nature Sculpture

Description: Discover the first signs of spring, buds!  Learn how to transform nature treasures into little miniature sculptures for a table top art installation. You’ll also learn how to harvest plants sustainably, and experience the delicacy of Spring!

Y-Sticks: The Art of Weaving and Questioning

Description: Search for “Y” shapes in Nature! This fun nature art adventure will have you collecting Y-sticks and practicing asking “Why” questions. You’ll learn how to create a simple weaving with string or ribbon between Y-branches, and plant a Y-stick question garden!

Streaming Art Nature

Footprinting & Shoe Printing: Walking Lightly on the Earth

Description:  What can you learn from the soles of your feet?

Feet are a marvel. Sculptural, hard working, and alive with senses. Did you ever consider that simply being barefoot on the ground can contribute to your health and well-being?

Today, “footprint” also refers to how we impact the environment, with phrases like: carbon footprint and walking lightly on the earth. This activity will have you studying your footprint or shoe print, and asking yourself, “How can I reduce my ecological footprint and live more sustainably?
