Who Lives Here? Art & Science in the Stream

11:00am - 1:00pm | Sterling Forest Visitor’s Center, Tuxedo Park

Have fun exploring and making discoveries in and around the small stream in Sterling Forest!  Search for aquatic life and work with magnifying lenses and microscopes to identify the critters you’ve found.  Create a work of art based on your experience meeting and making friends with the tiny stream life.  You will also learn about the relationships between stream critters and the quality of the water, and what a creek habitat needs to be healthy.

FOR ALL AGES. Recommended for children 6+ with parents/caregiver. Wear supportive watershoes, and bring a towel, change of clothes, water bottle and snack/lunch.  Clothing and footwear should be appropriate for the outdoor weather, nature exploration, and studio art (ie: clothing/shoes/outerwear that may get wet, dirty or stained).
