Forever Evergreens!

11:00am - 1:00pm | Silvermine Lake, Harriman State Park

Who is the “Keeper of the Green” in the winter woods? The Evergreen of course! Conifer forests can be a very special place to visit, especially in the colder months when all the deciduous leaves have fallen. Join us to explore the different evergreen wonders of our parks. Get to know their fragrances, count their needles, and learn how to tell them apart. Then celebrate the life and eco-system of conifers by creating a work of art with fine art and natural materials.  Presented in Partnership with the Palisades Parks Conservancy.

FREE AND FOR ALL AGES. Recommended for children 6+ with parents/caregiver. Wear layers for the variable weather, sturdy footwear, and bring a water bottle and snack/lunch. Clothing should be appropriate for nature exploration and studio art (ie: clothing/shoes/outerwear that may get wet, dirty or stained).
